  Had a paradigm shift last night during lecture in UTM..The verse “Allah will not change the condition of the people until they change themselves”, I used to think that it meant changing for the better. But now, because the word used is “ghairiy”, which denotes a person changing to a state OTHER than what he was meant to be, it can now mean that Allah did not change the condition of man, but that it is man himself who changed for the worse. I have been thinking about it, and my good friend pointed out that it might be true, because Allah has already perfected His Creation, including man, so why must He change the condition of man in the first place? Man was already perfect and the crown jewel of creation, the only way man could go was down. Wallahualam.
